In this article I am going to explain where to find your unpublished Facebook stories so you could re-upload or download them for later use.

Where to find your unpublished Facebook stories?

As I have mentioned earlier, every photo or video that you post on Facebook stories automatically disappears after 24 hours of publishing. It seems that Facebook wants you to keep publishing new stories daily.

One thing to notice is that after 24 hours stories are unpublished but are not deleted. Facebook stories are just moved to secret Story Archive folder which can be accessed by the account owner.

Follow the steps below to find your unpublished Facebook stories:

  1. Open up Facebook app on your smartphone and login to your profile if you haven’t already;
  2. Take a look at the Story slider and click on “Your Archive” on the right corner;
  3. You will be taken to the Facebook story archive folder and will be able to view all of your unpublished/expired stories. You can republish or download them from there.

Photos and videos are automatically archived after they disappear from your story. Only you can see your story archive. However, check your settings and make sure that “Save to Archive” is turned on.

Otherwise, all of your stories would be automatically deleted after 24 hours and wouldn’t be accessible in archive folder.
