How to prevent others from tagging you (manual approval)?
If you are being constantly tagged by friends on different Facebook posts, you can tweak your tagging settings so that others couldn’t automatically tag you in their posts.
This feature works the following way – whenever someone wants to tag you in their Facebook post, you will need to manually approve it before your tag appears on that picture.
This feature prevents you from being tagged on random pictures where you wouldn’t like to be tagged in after all.
Here’s how to do this:
- Go to Facebook.com and login to your Facebook profile if you haven’t already;
- Click on the menu (arrow) icon at the top right corner. From the drop-down menu select “Settings”;
- Click on “Timeline and tagging” from the menu on the left;
- Under the “Review” tab find “Review tags that people add to your posts before the tags appear on Facebook?”, click on “Edit” and select “Enabled”. Done!
Now you will need to manually review each tag before it is added to Facebook post. If you wouldn’t like to be tagged on certain post, then you will be able to simply deny the request.
