Hashtags help your posts to be discovered by other Instagram users, not just your followers.
However, hashtags can take a lot of space in your post caption and if you are adding many of them, it may even look spammy. On the other hand, if you don’t add any hashtags to your Instagram posts, then your posts won’t get too much of exposure.
Fortunately, there is a solution to this. You can add many hashtags to your Instagram post captions and simply hide them (make them invisible). By doing this, your posts will get more exposure because they will be discovered by those hashtags. Additionally, hashtags won’t be visible so your caption won’t look too long or too spammy.

How to hide hashtags on Instagram?
Hiding hashtags in your captions is simple. Just follow the steps below:
- Go to Instagram and write a post caption;
- After your have done writing it, add five dots (one per line) in the same caption;
- After that add your hashtags (up to 30);
- Publish your post as you normally do.
Done! Now people won’t see hashtags in your caption unless they click “More” under the description.
Tip: if you are unable to create line breaks after each dot, just write them down in text editor and paste it afterwards.
Another way to hide hashtags is to post them as a comment under your post. So, while writing a caption, don’t add any hashtags there. After publishing, just post a comment under your post with five dots (one per line) and write your hashtags afterwards.
Why should you hide hashtags on Instagram?
You should definitely be hiding hashtags from your Instagram posts captions. There are two main reasons for this.
Firstly, as I have said earlier, hashtags in captions may not look good and even may be considered spammy. Captions with hidden hashtags will make your description look cleared and more professional.
Secondly, users who read your caption will concentrate more on the caption itself than hashtags. If you hide hashtags from your post caption, then people will concentrate on the message itself than unimportant list of hashtags. In other words, there will be a bigger chance for people to read what you wanted to say in your caption.
