How to disable “People you may know” suggestions on Facebook?
Just follow these steps and you will be able to disable this feature:
- Open up Facebook app and login to your profile if you haven’t already.
- Click on the menu icon at the top right corner of your screen.
- Scroll down and click on “Settings & privacy”. From the appeared menu select “Settings”.
- Scroll down and find the Notifications tab. Click on the “Notification settings”.
- Go to “People you may know” section and switch the toggle off next to “Allow notifications on Facebook”. Click on “Turn off” to confirm. Now you will not be receiving “People you may know” notifications, however, we are not done yet. You still need to disable location access in your settings so that you wouldn’t see suggestions inside the app.
- Go back to Facebook app Settings menu and find Privacy section. Click on “Location”.
- Proceed by going to “Location access”. Now click on “Location services”.
- Select “Permissions”.
- Click on “Location” and deny location access for Facebook app.
Done! Now you will not be receiving any “People you may know” suggestions on Facebook app.
