- Open up Facebook app and login to your profile if you haven’t already.
- Click on your profile picture at the top left corner.
- Click on “Edit public details”.
- Scroll down and select “Edit your About info”.
- Now scroll down to “Basic info” tab and click on “Edit” next to it.
- Click on “Birth year” and select any year that would get you to be from 14 to 18 years old. I will choose 2004.
- Now you need to confirm that you are 16 years old by clicking next to it.
- Now scroll down and click on “Save”.
Done! Now messages button has been automatically disabled for your Facebook profile.
