YouTube has recently started requiring to mark your videos as made for kids if they are made for children under 13 years old. Most of us do not create content for kids and don’t want to review this setting every time they create a new video.
In this article I will show you how to change made for kids YouTube video settings on mobile.
Let’s get started!
How to change “Made for kids” Settings on YouTube App?
Just follow these steps and you will be able to access your “Made for kids” settings:
- Open up YouTube.com website on your mobile device.
- Click on the three-dot icon at the top right corner of your screen.
- Click on “Desktop site” and now YouTube should be displayed as in desktop mode.
- Click on your profile icon at the top right.
- From the menu select “YouTube studio”.
- Now find the gear icon at the bottom left corner to go to your settings section.
- Now tap on “Channel” tab.
- Tap on “Advanced settings” tab.
- Here you will see a question “Do you want to set your channel as made for kids?”. Underneath you will have three options to choose from: Your videos are created for kids, your videos are not created for kids and the third option is to review this settings for every video. If you choose the third option, then you will need to review this option every time you upload a new video.
- As you can see I have set it to “No, my videos are not made for kids” because I don’t create content that is made specifically for children. So, if you do not create content for kids and don’t want to review this setting every time you create a new video, just select the second option.
That’s how it’s done!
